Allen Airstrip (N39J) is a grass farm strip in central NJ just west of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. They have a monthly pancake breakfast on the 2nd Saturday of each month. Before Nov 8, 2025, I had never even heard of Allen Airstrip but my hangar-mate Bill and I went anyway because who doesn't love pancakes!?!
They also have a small airplane museum in their main hangar which includes a 65hp Pitts S-1C and a very rare 1930 Fairchild KR-21! It was super cold so I didn't get any photos of their beautiful Stearman which is for sale. I love the artistry that exists in the lines of classic biplanes, they're just beautiful to look at.
